Hi Gurus,

I'm new in this could you please assist here
We have a server running SQL 2000 Database Standard Edition. We bought a new 2003 SERVER. I need to install MS SQL Server 2005 on the new server then move the database from the old server to the new one. How do I do that.

Thanx in advance.

I would watch this video first: Options Available for Moving Databases From One Instance/Server to Another. Next, I would watch this series: How to Move and Copy Databases to a New Server/Instance

Hope this helps!
