Hi,

Can someone please let me know what is the best way to create a package having an FTP task? I created a package first with "DonotSaveSensitive" as I would normally. But it failed on the server, because it did not find the fpt login password. I had to use the option "EncryptAllWithPassword" to succcessfully deploy it on the server. Everytime the package is opened it needs a password. The project needs to be added to source safe. So I was wondering if there is anyway I can do without the password.

Thanks,
wdismukes

The posts near the bottom of the following link might help:

I did not deploy my ftp package, though. I just run it interactively from BIDS.

Hi wdismukes,

That's exactly what I did. But I wanted to know if this is the best way.

Thanks
