hi to all ,
while i am executing a procedure i am getting the following message and i am not getting out put.
here i am passing an number and the data type is varchar.let me know why this error is comming ?

the error is as follows

The query processor ran out of internal resources and could not produce a query plan. This is a rare event and only expected for extremely complex queries or queries that reference a very large number of tables or partitions. Please simplify the query. If you believe you have received this message in error, contact Customer Support Services for more information.

Well, a quick Google comes up with a hotfix for that error: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917888. Have you seen that hotfix or installed it? I've not seen that error before.
