Hello -

I have three PCS:
A SQL Server 2000
B SQL Server 2008
C SQL Server 2008

B and C can connect to each other through an SMS Analysis Server connection, but B to A or C to A result in the error "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it xxx.xx.xx.xxx:2382 (System)"

My ID is an Administrator ID on all three systems. I can connect to the Database Engine from either B or C to A and see A'a databases (System Databases, Northwind, pubs). It is only Analysis Services that is giving me fits. I was thinking that maybe it is the port (2382), but I'm not sure how to check this on PC A or change the connection string on B or C.

My ultimate goal is to copy OLAP Cube data from A to either B or C. I have been able to do so in the past by connecting Analysis Services, so something has changed in the past few months. Are there any suggestions? If there is an alternate method of copying/importing from SQL 2000 to SQL 2008 I would appreciate the help there too!

Thanks.
